How Expertise Works
Every time Protime generates a briefing, it tracks the reading time for each topic. When you complete a quiz, your accuracy is recorded. Together, these two signals determine your expertise level in each topic.
Reading Time
Hours of content consumed through your briefings, distributed proportionally across topics.
Quiz Accuracy
Each briefing includes a quiz. Your score proves you engaged with the content, not just received it.
Consistency
Regular engagement builds expertise faster. Your streak and frequency matter.
Integrity note: Protime tracks knowledge topics (AI, Finance, Marketing), not professional credentials. You cannot claim to be a "Doctor" or "Lawyer" through Protime. The system explicitly blocks professional credential terms to maintain trust.

Certificates & Sharing
Once you build expertise in a topic, you can share a verified certificate on LinkedIn or any other platform. Each certificate links to a public verification page.

- Quiz accuracy percentage
- A public verification URL anyone can check
How to share
- 1Go to your Profile page and find the topic you want to share.
- 2Click the topic to open the expertise detail dialog.
- 3Click "Share on LinkedIn" to post your verified expertise card.
- 4Anyone who sees your post can click the verification link to confirm your expertise.
Verification
Every shared certificate includes a public verification page at protime.ai/e/.... This page shows the same data as the certificate and proves the expertise is real, tracked by Protime.

Can I fake my expertise?
No. Hours are tracked automatically from your briefings, and quiz accuracy requires correct answers. The verification page shows exactly how the expertise was built.
Can I claim professional credentials like "Doctor" or "Lawyer"?
No. Protime explicitly blocks professional credential terms. You can track "Healthcare Knowledge" or "Legal Industry", but not licensed professional titles.
What counts as "reading time"?
Reading time is calculated from the AI-generated summaries you consume through your briefings. It reflects the time needed to read the summaries at a normal pace (200 words per minute).
Can I rename a topic?
Yes, you can rename topics from your profile page to better reflect what you are tracking. Renames are limited to related topics to maintain integrity.
