Public briefings have an already curated set of sources processed in areas like Crypto, Artificial Intelligence and German news. They are intended to showcase Protime, even though they might cover much of what you need.

Gmail briefings are much more personalized, because they come from your Gmail inbox. You have full control over what is processed. In public briefings, this curation step was already done by somebody else.

What Happens After You Choose?

Once you've selected your path, Protime guides you through a simple setup process. Here's what to expect for each option:

Public Briefing Path (4 Steps)

  1. 1Choose Briefing Theme - Select from AI & Tech, Crypto & Web3, or News & Current Affairs
  2. 2Select Topics - Pick specific subtopics within your chosen theme (e.g., Machine Learning, Blockchain, Politics)
  3. 3Set Preferences - Choose frequency (daily, every 2 days, weekly, or on-demand), language, and add any special instructions
  4. 4Generate Briefing - Click "Generate My First Briefing" and get your AI-powered summary instantly

Gmail Briefing Path (5 Steps)

  1. 1Connect Gmail - Securely authenticate with Google (we only access labeled emails)
  2. 2Select Labels - Choose existing labels or create new ones for newsletters you want processed
  3. 3Select Topics - Add categories to help AI better organize your summaries
  4. 4Set Preferences - Choose briefing frequency and add any personalization instructions
  5. 5Complete Setup - Your briefing is automatically created and will process emails based on your schedule

Note: Your briefing is created automatically when you select the Gmail path - no separate creation step needed!

Not sure which to choose? Start with a public briefing to see Protime in action, then connect your Gmail when you're ready to transform your own inbox.
